Running extremely rich!!!

H22 swap
My accord is running extremely rich. Exhaust is throwing out watery black stuff as you can see it in the picture. You can smell the fuel from the exhaust very easily. Also my rear bumper gets dirty all the time due to black smoke comes from exhaust.I don't know where to start to solve the problem! Please let me know if you have any idea what that is??? Thanks...

I would start looking at things like your o2 sensor. If its bad. It will make ure car run rich. How many miles on it.? Any recent tuneups done on it like sparkplugs, wires, cap, rotor etc? Any check engine codes..?
the engine millage estimated between 35k-45k from where I bought and we have done the swap around 6 months ago.I haven't done any tuneups after the swap.Right before the swap i changed the distributor. There is one thing that I highly suspect might cause the problem is couple months ago I cleaned the engine with simple green and low pressure hose then spark plug holes got full of water.I cleaned them with a compressed air then I put new ngk spark plugs.I guess there is still water in it thats why watery black stuff comes from exhaust.(p28) no codes!!

my coolant temp is in range.I don't think it is not burning coolant but I guess it needs valve adjustment.Do you think it is early to change timing belt water pump etc.. or should i tune it up first? and also How i am figure out if the ecu causes that?thank you
Do you know the exact temperature reading? The stock temp gauge is worthless for accurately pinpointing the correct temp.
The Skunk2 chips contain a base maps rudimentary tweaked for bolt-on parts. The chip you are using is most definitely not specifically designed for your engine. That could be the cause of your issue but I would also check a few other components. The chips were popular around the early 00's.

You shuld read up on those skunk 2 and other chips. All they are pretty what they did is advance the **** out of timming and trow in a bunch of fuel. Id find you the thread were some guy took his time to scan all the **** of the chips and everyone was like OOOOO including myself. Im new to tunning butt even i culd of pointed out were theres to much timming and fuel. Those chips are JUNK.

yea lol I read many threads today about p28s with(skunk2,mugen etc,,,)chipped.People who have these kinda chipped ecu's they all have same problem like I do(black smoke during acceleration , idle problem and running too rich).what should i do to get my ecu tune right!?Most people suggest to get hondata.but hondata is too expensive .is there any way fix it without getting hondata?
a basemap is to get u to a tunner. thats about it. how can someones guessed numbers runn youre car. i know chris is good at whathe is doing. i was going to get a basemap from him for my setup butt i waited and got a ems. best thing ive invested money into so far cept the alarm.
Of course, but it's just a stock h22, what more is there to it? Would you rather have a so called skunk2 chip or an actual basemap for the motor? I tune Crome and Neptune, I'm more than familiar on how this works.
Skunk2 chipped, meaning he already has a chipped obd1 ecu. There is no need to get another chipped ecu. Like I stated getting a basemap "burned onto a 28pin eprom chip" from Chris is the best way to go or PM me. I can burn basemaps as well.

I have a big problem, my civic and was tuned with ectune 3 months ago, but now my air fuel gauge reads rich when it is warm and the idle is almost at 500 rpm
and I have no idea what could be causing l please help

Like ive said. I dont know how the whole chipped p28 deal works. Yeah OP shuld hit up Chris.

If it's a stock motor, a stock ecu would be more ideal. A basemap would be close enough to run the motor properly if no extreme mods were added.
If you want to have the best air/fuel ratio, then go get a Dyno tune with a custom map for your motor. I would rather run a little rich then a little lean. Given the type of fuel that you use, if your motor is built, mods, etc...Are you running a test/straight pipe? If so, your going to be spitting black smoke out, it's called soot. The picture shown, looks as if your engine was cold upon starting it up, the water dripping out of the tip is just condensation build up from being hot to cold in the piping. Other than that, if you just have regular bolt ons with a stock motor, the stock ecu will work just fine.
