Default royal purple good or bad

should i put royal purple 10w-30 in my jdm f22b Dohc it has about 45,000 miles on it.

It's good oil, like most oils that meet the SAE standards.

IMO people make way to much out of which oil is best. In 99% of the engines, it really makes no difference.

They all have to meet the standards.

In my DD a turbo charged Subaru Legacy GT with almost 300hp I run Mobil 5000 10w30 or 5W30 like the owners manual says. Or what ever name brand oil is cheapest at Walmart. The car has over 93,000 miles on it.

the main key point is to change the oil and the filter regularly.

i normally replace them every 5000kms (don't kno what it is in miles, we dont use them). some people do more frequent, but im happy with it. best compromise for my wallet and engine.
