rotor resurfacing with new pads
do rotors always have to be resurfaced when intstalling new pads?
this is for the rear brakes. 43K miles on them
im going to try and get ahold of those measuring tools that are used to check for warpage, but thought id ask here

yes, it's a rule of thumb to always resurface the rotor when replacing the pads to even the wear on both and to avoid that annoying brake squeak

It's not really nessesary unless the grooves are too deep, the deeper the groove, the longer it will take the pad to mate to the rotor, that's all.... but if you have the time, might as well.
