Default Rod bearing tangs...direction?

Ive read that the tangs need to face the exhaust side....is that for BOTH rod and cap tangs?

If it is to prevent a spun bearing, wouldnt it make more sense to have the rod tang face the intake side and the cap tang to face exhaust, due to the rotation direction?

Please help....Im confused

Do not swap the directions of the tangs. Both tangs should face the exhaust side. Rods and caps are honed to spec with both tangs on the same side. If you turn the caps then the bearings wont sit correctly.
