Icon2 Roaming idle!!!

hey guys I am having a roaming idle issue with my DA. i already bleed the coolant and cleaned my iavc. the idle was fine for about a week and then started to have problems after it got really cold out about 20 degree's when i was leaving work last week i let the car warm up before i left and when i got out to the car the idle was roaming. it goes from about 850 up to 1750 and then drops back down. is there anything else i can check or clean to help this issue. also the car will idle about half the time since it has started to warm up around here. this leads me to believe the iavc is going bad. Any help is appreciated !!!

Well what you could do is find someone with a known working one and swap it into your car and see what that does. If not That sounds like a vacuum leak. I would suggest checking your lines and making sure there is no cracks around the vacuum hoses and stuff like that. But to be totally sure that it is not vacuum leak causing this I would suggest going to a shop and seeing if they can do a smoke test on your car to find the source of this.

Definitely sounds like vacuum leak to me...
I pressure washed my car once, engine bay, too, and unknowingly washed off a vacuum cap on my intake. Next day i started car up, and was roaming 900-1900 real rapidly at idle. Could not figure out what was wrong, as everything looked fine. A buddy insisted it was vacuum leak, and sure enough.
More recently, had a pin hole leak in coolant, and would cause 800-1400 roaming occasionally at idle. Checked everything out, saw no moisture buildup to indicate fluid leak, but another friend insisted it was vacuum or coolant. After 2 hours of messing around in the bay, finally found miniscule dripping that was only dripping after the system was pressurized and then de-pressurized, but too small that if the block was hot, it would evaporate too fast to see.

Lesson from those two stories, is there could be a leak, it might just be very small or in a place you have not checked.

Otherwise, some areas i would check up on would be ignition, timing, fuel pump, fuel injectors, fuel filter, and/or ecu defect.

Definitely find out what is the problem first before you go in and replace a bunch of parts. I've wasted over 100$ trying to fix 15$ problems before, and I've learned my lesson

Also another idea to chime in with Aeon117 even though i feel like this might be worst case scenario is that there could be a problem with the headgasket.
