Default Ripped boot...need help/advice.

hello,
I found out today that my axle boot is ripped. just wondering what i should do. replace the axle boot alone or replace the whole cv boot. my car is coming up on 55,000. How much is it going to cost to fix it? and does anyone know where a good shop in southern california to take it? pls help. thanks in advance.

damn nice you are the one person who buys axels at honda/acura. So hey a basic person can take apart a axle its no big deal to change the boot I would just get a new axle because its like 40 more for a axle than the boot only. and just getting the boot replaced make the bearings on the tulip in the axle prone to scoring and going bad.

If I was you I would just get another axle, I ve done the whole boot replacing thing before, adn eventually the axle will tear, so just save yourself some trouble and replace the axle. Theyre like 60 bucks anyways, and usally comes witha lifetime warranty, which is great if youre a do-it-yourselfer.

Labor cost $125

and so you know...aftermarket axles blow chunks..
