Default rip off? or not?

i have an auto teg, im planning to convert it to manual. and i just got back from the junk yard and he said for everything 900 bucks ..is this a good deal? or am i getting raped? i dont know that much about cars so how would i know if these parts are still good? he said theres a 90 day gaurantee so thats good. any help would be appreciated. thanks

i never had it done but a kid in my school had it done to a cx and i think he paid 800 so i guess its not that bad if thats what he paid

cool, anyone more feedback? i got about 1000 saved up. how much is labor? parts + labor? desicions decisions..

You can sell the auto to someone that isn't looking to race...get a manual cheap and save the $1k for mods...

I did it to my car, not that complicated,
make shure the package contain: trany (hope so ), ECU, Shifter, pedals, flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, trow out bushing and center console between 600 and 1000, depending on the condition of the peices. then, for the labor I don't know, a guy around here do the whole thing for around 300 canadian$, so I think it's not that costly if you found somebody that know a bit about auto/trany convertion. Don't go to the first local mecanic, He will charge you like 600 or 700$,
