i have a 96 civic hatch which is in desperate need of some rims, so thats what im saving for now....my friends uncle works with rims and tires and so i figured he could hook me up nice, but i gave him the list of rims that i liked, things such as eagle alloys series 160... some motegi rims... and other ones like the konig blatants, and some enkei ones......so he tells me all of those are bad and will turn crap after only a year or so, and that i should go with American Racing rims because he can get me a deal on them, although i think they are *** ugly.. so what should i do??? are all those other kinds really that shitty? or is he just dumb?? please help out [IMG][/IMG]

 

stick with the major name brands, such as enkei, volk, racing hart, advan, yes they are expensive but you get what you pay for. Konigs are ok wheels but the only problem with them is that they are copies are more expensive wheels

you can get Rota Slipstreams, 16x7 in any color avlb., for $450-$475. no tires. and the wheels are only 12lbs each.

 

Mind you that American Racing rims generally weigh a lot too, apart from the fact they're aesthetically unpleasant.
