Default Rev Limiter

Does anyone know how to defeat or increase the Rev limiter on a 86-87 2.0L EFI engine with a PJO ECU? I use this car for racing and the engine is built to handle higher RPM's. It currently cuts out about 6800 but I need it to go over 7000.

Yes, the engine has been completely rebuilt, all new internal parts and balanced. It has been run at these higher rpm's and shown it can produce power.
