Rev limit on a built motor ??
I'm just wondering if it's possible to rev my motor higher because it's fully built. It's a DOHC ZC, it's been sleeved, has SRP pistons and eagle rods. The whole assembly will be balanced. I belive the rev limit is 7200 or 7400 on a stock ZC. Also throw into the mix i have a Zdyne comp and it will be tuned before i over rev it, that's if it's safe. I'm hoping to rev to about 8,000-8200. I'd really like some opinions. Thanks
Well if there was valvetrain available for the ZC i would upgrade it, but there is none so i'm kinda screwed. I could send my stuff to ferrea and have them custom make it, but that's WAY to much $$$$$. I wish someone would wake up and start makin performance parts for ZC's
AH HA! Finally found a shop the has some experienc with ZC heads. Appearently they mod the head to fit LS valvetrain and there's aftermarket LS valetrain available. WOOPIE!! So i should be able to safely take it up to 8500-8800.....hopefully.
