Resonator = quieter?

I've got a nice exhaust, but it's a tad loud. If I wanted to make it quieter would adding a resonator do the trick?
Or should I just get a vibrant oval?

yes, a resonator will quiet down your exhaust tone.

its probably easier to buy at the muffler shop and have them put it on - everything done at one place.
I'm not sure of what brands of resonators are out there in the world, I'm sure whatever the muffler shop has on hand is good enough. They generally last a long time anyways...
