Default Resizing Rods

I just got my ARP rod bolts in and the instructions say to have the rods resized. Is this really necessary? What size bearing would you use after resizing? Thanks

have the machine shop measure the big end of the rod after the new rod bolts are pressed in. if the big end has changed or de-formed from the pressing of the new rod bolts then have the big end re-sized. if not then dont bother............just get the correct bearings.......

good luck

I believe the problem is with the head of the bolt, it's too big for the space on the cap.

maybe I'm wrong.

more times than not the big end will distort slightly.
its really a good idea to at least check to make sure its not distorted.
