Replica seat crash pics?
First of all, I apologize if this isn't the correct section to post up.
This isn't a real vs fake debate thread or anything of that sort. I was just curious to know if anyone has pictures of replica seats (Bride, Recaro, etc) that were involved in an accident? Tried searching online for them but no luck. . . only saw threads involving people who says their friend, uncle, daddy, cousin, whatever, were involved in an accident with replica seats and the seats being torn apart but never any pictures posted up.
tl;dr
Looking for aftermath pics of replica seats after an accident/crash.

Not replicas, but does show the forces applied to a seat in a rear end collision. Also search whiplash testing or rear impact testing. It'll show oem seats being tested. After watching those i dont even want to know how a replica seat would hold up.

There's no way in hell I'd ever put a replica/no name seat in a car. The forces seats can see during a crash are crazy.. Don't forget about proper use of a seat belt/harness with an aftermarket seat too..
Following the last post with the link, Recaro seats are definitely one I'd feel safe using. They make seats for just about everything and are required to follow safety tests. I think what a lot of people fail to understand is that these seats are not just for sitting or for showing off, they are a safety item first and should be treated as such.

manufacturer recommends replacing seats after serious accident.
or after 2 small accidents if there was a person present in it.
most of people just post them for sale and buy another set of seats with unknown history lol.
when your seat is bolted down and is still wobbly chances are its been in an accident

replica seats are not tested. they are put together and then sld on ebay.
anyone really thinks a 200 dollar set of seats will have required tests and certifications done?
you can flex those seats with your hands lol

i actually crashed a 240sx with an old f1 spec seat in it. the car was caged with harnesses and a seat back brace bolted to the seat and welded to the harness bar. I could show you aftermath pictures if i was on my computer at home, but here is really nothing to see. The seat held up fine, it even was used in another chassis afterwards. I crashed on summit point main at about 70 mph
I'd also love to see some pics of post crash replica seats. F1 Specs are another thing entirely. He isn't trying to pass off something fake as real. He's doing his own thing for the most part. I think he even has a legitimate FIA seat now.
As has already been said, I would never use a non-name brand seat. It's one of those things that you just don't cheap out on. It would kind of be like trusting a doctor that got his degree out of a cereal box to perform open heart surgery on you. Not the best idea.
@Discosteak, thank you for your service my friend.
