Do any of you guys run OEM seats with a cage?

I have read through the NHRA rulebook and it says that the seat needs to attach on the rear. Is this overlooked with an OEM seat?

I was planning on runnning a kirkey seat, but I decided its not really a necessity, unless the rules require it.

I ran factory seats for a while. The seats dont have to be attached to the cage but have to be securely mounted. The seat should rest on or be close to crossbar so that "if" the seat brakes youre not thrown in the back seat....

i run a stock seat with only a 6 point. i will prob continue to run it when i switch to a 10point. i feel very comfortable in it and dont see a point to change it. Maybe one day ill sit in a car with a kirkey and try it out.

I just set my kirkey in without sliders, worked out great for ME lol. Sheet metal seats require the seat back brace.

Ive ran mine without the brace for a while but if i know im going to go to a track i know will bitch then i will get this...Easy and is NHRA approved...and great for people with sliders and different drivers.

I emailed the NHRA tech dept with the link and he responded that it is legal. I saved the email for future use.
