How big of a hassle is it? What tools are needed?

Suprisingly not too much hassle at all. Took me about 20-30 minutes to do both front rotors including taking the tires off and putting them back on.
How big of a hassle is it? What tools are needed?

No, just make sure the parking brake isn't on.

Edit: I mean the emergency brake.
