Im going to be replacing my brake master cylinder in a couple of days and i was wondering if there was a easy way to drain the brake fluid without getting to much air into the lines? Thanks..
Suck the fluid out of the reservoir with something like a turkey baster. Then put rags under the MC, & don't actually drain the lines. You'll spill a little when you disconnect the lines, that's what the rags are for. But you'll STILL have to bleed the system when you're done.
Yea once you take the lines off you need to bleed the system. However they do make brake kits that would make it possible to reverse bleed it back into the master cylinder. However it would be better just to get all that old fluid out of there anyway and you dont want to be pumping dirty fluid back up the lines, especially if you have ABS.

Wouldnt that put air between the master cylinder and the lines? So that would mean i would be bleeding all day? Or does it come out faster than i think?
