Replaced ECU and lock assembly - no crank
2004 Civic 1.7 DX 5 speed.
This car belongs to my 14 year old son. It needs some motor work and was given to him by a family friend who lost the key. The previous owner then took a hammer and screwdriver and tried to break the lock.
I found an ecu and ignition lock assembly (with key) from another car (part numbers were exactly the same) and installed them. Brand new battery, fully charged - was disconnected while the ecu was replaced.
The green key light flashes a couple of times and then goes out. But the motor wont crank over.
What would be the reason the engine won't turn over?

Flashing "green light" indicates ECU does not recognize chipped key.
With that said, it cuts off fuel not the starter, something else is wrong. 94

The green key light flashes a couple of times then shuts off - same as my 2006 Pilot which runs just fine.
So maybe the starter not spinning is something else.
