Default Removing Shift Linkage From EG Sedan?? please help!!

how do i get the shift linkage off the rear of my tranny????? i need to do this this second, so please help me out!!!

Pull rubber boot back and you'll see a silver pin. Drive it out with a punch, replace with a new one when you reassemble.

There's basically a 0% chance of that pin working it's way out, but at $1.25 +/-, what the hell, right?
