I bought some 98 gsr swirlies(painted black). I was wondering if theres any way I can take off the black paint without hurting the factory clear coat underneath? Peace.

no.but here's a suggestion.sand blast them and then take some 1500 -2500 wet sand paper and they will look good as new.will take a liitle of your time, but the reward will be well worth it.

nope; you'll have to strip the paint and repaint them, or strip and polish, then respray a clearcoat.

Aircraft stripper usually works well (makes it easy to polish when you get done) Also, check out some of the products that are available at eastwoodcompany.com
