Remove plugs from the main wire harness ?
Hi,
Recently, I’ve remove the radio and the heater in my project Ek. Now I’m in the process of remounting the dash and the wire. Since I won’t put back the radio and the heater, I want to remove the plug from the main harness.
Any of you have a diagram to see what to cut/remove and what to weld together?
Or is there a shop who sell the main harness with the basic accessories only ?
Thank you

its simple as grabbing a manual and tracing the wires .. that service manual Is the diagram ha... or i will do the work if you Ship the harness and pay for it to be shipped back on top of 80$ i will modify that harness however you need.. but it really is so simple guy.
or you could just tape the plug to the main harness, kinda like they do with un-used accessory plugs from the factory, so if you ever change ur mind or sell the car, the option is still there.
if you really wanna remove the plug though, there is usually a white clip on the plug, you need a really tiny screwdriver though, pop the clip either out or just raise it up (depending on the plug) and there are tabs holding the pins in....once the pins are out though, you have to either cut them or tuck them in the harness....or undo the harness and pull the whole wire out....not really worth it in my opinion.

IMO, your better off to just zip tie the unused plugs back up against the main harness. Outta sight, outta mind. They're not gonna hurt anything and you wont see them.
these guys make harnesses also....you can give them a try
