Default removal of stickers from paint

im in the process of restoreing an 85 trans am and have to take the firebird off the hood. whats the easiest and safest (for paint) way of doing this?

not honda retaled but ***** all the same anyway

just be ready to see the thunderbird still on your hood because the paint around it is faded and under the sticker isnt

If you have any glue residue (sp?) left on the hood, use denatured alcohol to remove it........

or wd-40.

as for the paint being a different color under the decal, some 3m fine cut rubbing compound should help make the hood all the same color again.

I work at a sign company and we use "glue off" to remove the leftover adhesive from vehicles. 3M makes a good product too for the same process. good luk
