I am looking to compile (as complete as I can) a list of Honda/Acura master cylinder sizes with part numbers to show what is interchangable.

94-95 EX coupe w/ABS has a 1" mc/booster

94-01 integra GSR & ITR ABS & NON ABS all have a 1" mc/booster

94-01 integra LS (non abs) 15/16 mc/booster

90-93 Integra's all have 15/16 mc/booster's if I'm not mistaken. I assume ABS models would have a 1" MC/booster.

btw any 90-01 integra MC/booster bolts up to any 88-00 civic, with the exception of hardline modifications when necessary.

I have a MC from a 97 Integra LS(with ABS) and I am wondering if that MC is an upgrade from my 98 Civic Ex(without ABS). I ordered the Prop Valve from an Si because the one from the Integra deff. wasn't gonna work. I also have another question, I heard that ABS rotors are bigger. Should I get some rotors for ABS even though my civic doesn't have it?

 

man where was this thread a year ago...I had to figure all of this stuff out on my own through trial and error. This would have saved me a lot of time

my 93 si w/rear disc factory, has a 13/16ths in it and as far as I know it has never been replaced.

 

it would be great if they had a master cylinder that was a 1'' for a direct fit into an eg booster, without bending the lines.

Dude, you struck gold! I was looking for the 15/16" upgrade for my non-ABS Del Sol and I came across your page. Never knew it existed! Subscribed!

I always thought I had a 13/16" though. I'm not at home so I can't check. If this info is correct, I already have a 15/16" MC.

Now I wonder if I can use the ABS Del Sol's 1" MC ABS on my non-ABS Del Sol...

If you're still checking this thread out, I was wondering where you're from. I wasn't able to pull up 46100-SH4-A11 from here in Canada. Most of the posts I've seen on the MC upgrade mentioned this part number.

I was able to have someone at the dealership pull up 46100-SR3-043 (also a 15/16" MC) though. I couldn't find this part number on any American Honda parts sources.

I kinda wish I had a Canadian Del Sol Si now... Both my USDM Del Sols have the 13/16" MC. I've got one from Pennsylvania and another from Illinois. Looks like it's time to put them up for sale (for more reasons than just the master cylinder of course...). I might pick up a CDM Del Sol. One with daytime running lights and so on.

Do you also know the orientation of the ears for the master cylinders? Like either \. / or -? I don't think I've ever seen |.

 

I know the vx's are 13/16's. I thought the CX's were 13/16's as well.

He might not be. It may depend on what country he's from or what country he's getting the info from.

For example, I cannot order 46100-SH4-A11 (90-91 Civic EX (4-DR)) from Canada... However, he does list 46100-SR3-043 as 15/16 which I can't pull up on any American Honda sites.

I'm going to check out a CDM Del Sol to confirm if I get time.

46100-ST7-A52

This is the part # for ABS equipped Integras from 94-97 which originally shipped with 15/16" brake master cylinders, but NTP(Nissin)/Adler is shipping 1" replacement cylinders. I received a new JDM NTP(Nissin)/Adler 1" BMC 46100-ST7-A52 through eBay. I suspect that 1" was stock for all ABS equipped 94+ Integras in Japan, so it is unclear whether US Honda dealers are carrying the 1" or factory shipped 5/16".

Katman in this thread in 2004 stated that all 94+ ABS Integra have 1" BMC but I am about to remove a 15/16" unit from an ABS equipped 1997 Integra LS, and I see posts that say it shipped with that size. If the dealerships have long switched to 1", and maybe a lot of cars have had their's switched out at this point, that could give the impression that the 1" was there all along.

It is important to know a drop in 1" replacement is available because a few postings give the impression the ITR cylinder/booster combo is needed to move to 1", which also requires relocating the brake hard lines. All 98+ Integras also came with 1" cylinders but they look identical to the 97 ITR model, with the studs from the booster horizontal to one another vs. at a diagonal for the 46100-ST7-A52. The last difference I noticed is that the reservoir on the 46100-ST7-A52 is round and feeds the two channels differently, with the rearward channel being fed through a longer narrow path vs. the ITR/98+ design.

The hump along the top, from the reservoir back, is an internal passage the feeds the rearward channel on this model. On ITR/98+ models the reservoir has a longer shape and the fluid leaves through two separate exits, dropping more directly into the rearward channel.

Anyone know the diameter of the clutch master cylinder resevoir cap ? I am asking such that I can buy the appropriate adapter to use for a pressure bleeder .
