Default Recommend a TPMS tool

I've got a 2008 Honda Accord and 2007 Acura TSX. Both of which have a TPMS light on. Rather then pay the dealership $100/hr I want to replace the sensors myself. I have access to a tire mounting/balancing machine.

Is there a economical tool that will tell me the status of each TPMS sensor? I don't want to replace all four. I'm trying to identify which one failed.

I've seen the ATEQ units on amazon for cheap but it appears that only the VT55 will work with Honda/Acura to decode the sensor information. They're pricey. $500 on ebay.

The cheapy Bartec tool worked for most Toyotas and should work for Honda.

I'd pay the dealer in this case. The should be able to diagnose and if a sensor, replace it in a hour or so.

Bartec400 is what I use, works on ALOT of cars. however some Hondas in the late 2000s require the HDS as well as a bartec

If your only in need of it 1-6 times its worth payin the dealer

There are no cheap TPMS tools. It may be more cost effective to simply pay the dealer. However,TPMS is standard on ALL cars since 2008,so even if you got rid of your Hondas for new cars, the tool could still prove useful.

So, the best in the industry is the Bartec, hands down. However the new comer that is making waves is the Autel TPMS.

This looks like the tool you're talking about.
