Default Received new timing belt Kit . . .

I have a 2004 Saturn Vue Redline with the 3.5L Honda and the 5 speed AT.

It just passed the 100k mile mark, so I ordered a timing belt kit. I know a Tech that will be putting it in for me.

I got it off Ebay from someone who had a %100 rating and good reviews, for $150.00.

It includes:

-Aisin Water pump w/gasket
-Aisin Tensioner
-Contitech timgin belt
-GMB idler pulley
-GMB tensioner pulley

I'm not familiar with Aisin. Ive only seen that brand on RockAuto, but the kit from them is the most expensive (if that means anything).

Contitech belt was suggested to me by the Tech installing it.

I have never heard of GMB for the pulleys.

Is there anything to be said about these components before I put them in my car? Any opinions or experience with them?

Thank you

I believe Aisin supplied various parts to Honda for several years to use as oem parts in their production vehicles. so they would be considered official oem Honda parts.

Thank You, Moto

That's good to hear. My cousin is the Tech, he suggested the Continental belt as well, whatever brand belt is on it now would be good to have Im sure! Since it's lasted this long.

Hopefully the Pulleys are ok, Ive seen a post somewhere where this brand pulley went out in his car, not sure if it was the same timing belt application as mine though

Thanks again, I appreciate the feedback. Its good to have 2 separate forums for the same car

Thanks DCFIVER

Why not GMB?

Which pulley would you suggest?

I appreciate the feedback!

Im in the car fixin biz and GMB is notorious for being crap in this biz. Have personally seen many premature failures of GMB parts. Use Gates or even better, spring for Honda pulleys. Price is probably the same

What comes originally in this engine as far as pulleys go?
