Rebuilding an Egine!
What are the steps to rebuilding an engine? Lets say B18b. I'm going to have a shop rebuild my motor and want to know what they would be doing to it. I think it should be done because the previous owner shot NOS into the engine, I dont know how many times. The tranny is ok, but I think there is a problem with the head. I want to get this motor ready for force induction. Does anyone dissagree with me?

the funny gas can **** an engine up if used liberally. good job getting the rebuild done. make sure to take it easy on that motor. 2k rpm shifts. oil change @ 500 miles, 1000 miles, then 3000 miles. tranny fluid change wouldn't hurt either.
If you have no clue on how to build a motor. I would practice on a junk one first before you try to build a motor for forced induction. Or just let someone do it. no offense
Replace all seals, and while the motor is apart get some new pistons and rods. It sounds like the shop is going to do it for you, just make sure you trust their work.
