Default Rebuilding Bottom End

quick question I was going to rebuild my bottom end because I drove my car with the oil light on which what I thought the light was only telling me I was low on oil and not that my oil pressure dropped considerably low. Well, everyone is telling me to just rebuild the bottom end the thing is I was wondering how much labor might cost me. Not looking to go turbo YET but if its cheaper to buy performance aftermarket parts for my bottom end then why not. So whats the cheapest way to go as far as parts and labor. Thanks.

not trying to be a dick, but if your knowledge is limited to thinking that driving with the oil light on is something to not worry about, then maybe you shouldn't be building engines. maybe you should pay a shop to do another engine install for you, and this time, check your oil more often than once every 6 months.

to answer your question, the cheapest way would be an OEM rebuild obviously, but it depends onthe damage done to the block.
