Default To rebuild or not to rebuild?

Aight would you purchas a b17a GSR engine wiht 200 xxx KM on it for 700 wiht tranny and do a rebuild or would you just save up a buy a GSR wiht low k?

Is a rebuild going to give me a reliable engine that will last?

Good question, i'm buying a b18 from a 90 integra ls for $50 with over 400 000k, i'm definetly doing a rebuild specifically for a turbo setup.

i'd do the rebuild if you're not needing the engine quickly, b/c then when you rebuild you can rebuild it with aftermarket parts, ie. high comp. forged pistons and rods, etc.

just save for gsr and get type-r pistons for allmotor set up. Thats what everyone is doing now. Forget about the b20vtec hype. Gsr with type-r pistons kick ***. Seen a guy do 12.3 with 1600lbs 92 hb with non-lsd tranny, aftermarket cams retainers, clutch, and type-r pistons.
