Default rebuild info please help!!!

so im diving into my first engine build. I am going for the ls vtec and i have all my parts now i just need to find the information on exactly how to do it. i am trying to find videos actually showing me how to do a build. whether it is a video on building a ls vtec, or a video on how to do just a basic rebuild on a b series. any direction you could give me would be greatly appreciated because so far all i have found is the omniman video. obviously i am going to be going off of reading material also. i just will have a better understanding if i can see somebody actually doing it. thank you

jeff evans has a fairly good write up:
http://articles.evans-tuning.com/200...-a-gsr-engine/

Also if you search he has videos on you tube of the process

Now he uses forged components and his clearances are reflective of that so if you are doing a stock rebuild the service manual is your best resource.

The service manual gives you indications of what bearings to use based on markings on the crankshaft although it is always best to measure and select your bearings accordingly followed up by plastigauging.

You can find the bearing thickness chart in jeff evans video and write up

hope that helps
