rear trailing arms

Default rear trailing arms

the stealership recogmended i replace my rear trailing arms...

how can i tell if i need to replace this, and how essential is this part, how much would it cost to replace?

You don't need to replace them unless their bent. If their bent then you should replace them. Maybe they meant your bushings were shot.

As long as the trailing arm isn't bent it's fine. Everything else can be replaced. Then it's good as new.
