rear strut
I have a 96 4 door, replacing my rear strut/spring. The lower fork on my new strut is 5mm too wide, is it ok to put some washers to fill the space or drill a 5mm thick metal as a shim?
or will it explode while i'm driving it?

5mm?!?!?!??? thats quite a bit to pull in.
And just a note to everyone, 96-00 EL rear struts are not compatible with EK rear struts, fronts are fine. I learnd this the hard way.

i had to use washers on a setup before cause there was a slight gap between the fork and the CA bushing. i installed the right thickness/dimension washers in there and have never had a problem with it since. i preferred doing that instead of trying to bend the forks in too much to fit the arm.
