Really Stupid Question About Cam Seals...
Alright... I'm almost embarassed to post this because it's something I should know, but here goes:
I know what a cam seal looks like, but I can't visualize where on the engine they go, especially on a VTEC-equipped engine... I know that the cam seals don't have holes in them, so I wouldn't install one on the distributor end or on either of the cam gear sides...
Maybe I'm just nuts, but pics of them installed would help...
I've looked on Google, but only found pics of them by themselves, not installed...

i would assume you have a dual cam motor. if you look on the exhaust cam on the distrubutor side its a circle type rubber thats on the end of the cam. bend down and look youll see it. the distrubutor uses an o-ring to seal and both cams have a "Cam seal" on the driverside of the motor, just internal under the valve cover

Wait, so If I have a b18c1 motor then how many cam seal would I need consider that it have two camshaft. One for exhaust and intake side or do I just need 1 camseal for the exhaust side?

guys i believe that part is not technically called a "cam seal" the cam seals are on the other end of the head where your cam gears are located. Those are "cam seals" and there are two of them. That part that is circled is a cam plug i believe, the honda stealership calls it something else i don't remember, i went and asked for a cam seal one day and he showed me on the parts computer where they were located and what specific name the image you posted is called....i forget now. Every aftemarket company calls it a cam seal though.....hope that helps.
