Default Radiator as oil cooler

Can I use the transmission fluid cooler in my stock radiator as a oil cooler. I have a 5 speed, the stock Si radiator was replaced in Aug 1998 with a replacment unit that is for the Civic. It has the thicker core and tank for a automatic transmission cooler.
I'm thinking of routing the turbo oil feed line into the fitings on the radiator and then back to the turbo.

Is this a good idea???
