What kind of racing harness do you use? Do you use one with a factory or aftermarket seat? My questions is regarding my setup - DelSol seats with Weapon R harness. (nice and all black, i removed the labels) I really like the setup and just curious on what other people ride. I'm not too sure if I want to keep the Weapon R harness or use a different brand. Just wanted to know what anyone else's setup.

 

To my knowledge the weapon r belts are just for show, I don't think a real track would let you on with those. I went the cheaper rout on seats and purchased recaro copies by tenzo but ordered a set of racing sparco harnesses. But if you want to get technical and certified I think Simpson harnesses are the way to go.

 

Hrmmmm.. . . . Thats what i was affraid of. A friend of mine bought them for me.. I installed them and they function well.. Actually I don't know if I could say that. Basiclly I don't know if I could trust them with my life. They dont' hold their setting all the time.. sometimes it will come loose if I sit up in the seat. Meaning the belt will loosen. That scares me a bit. So I guess I answered my own question. I personally wouldn't have purchased this set. Ugh-- one of those situations with gifts.
