Default Quick Question ! please .

ok .. i dont know much about nissans or 4x4 trucks ... but i was wondering is it more complicated to redo the brake system on a 4x4 than a regular 2WD car ?

i just need to find out .. my moms breaks went out in insino today and i dont want her paying to much to get them repaired .

thanks

In many cases, it's no more difficult than other vehicles. However, on some 4x4's (my Infinity QX4, for example), removing the front rotors involved re-packing the wheel bearings and re-assembling the hubs, which is obviously a bit more involved.

It can be depending on how the front hubs are. A lot of 4x4 the front brake and hub are one piece. if that is the case then you have to remove the castle nut and caliper assy. Install the bearings in the new hub. Reinstall the hub and tighten the bolt...but since the nut sets the tension on the bearing it can be a bit tricky to get it right. Either to tight or to loose and you run the risk of burning up the wheel bearing

Edit padawan beat me to it
