quick! d16y8 CAMSHAFT removal help! problems!
Ok, my haynes manual says that when removing the camshaft, i have to remove the WHOLE timing belt, distributor and the rocker arms as well!!
I heard and read other installs that you do'nt have to do any of this, just unbolt the cam holders and the spocket and slip of the belt and that's it!
Can anyone help me confirm?
ALso the book isn't really clear but, if i just slip of the timing belt, do i have to release the tensioner?
ANother thing, the book says our engines are 12 BTDC??? wtf? i thought it was 16!!
