quick compression and leakdown tests question
if your compression and leakdown numbers are fine, does this mean your compression and all the seals are fine under real driving conditions? Would an engine be more prone to leaking, for example, in vtec or if you have a turboed car and theres so much more hair going into the cylinders then it would be during the test? or is it pretty much the tests are good, your engine is good? thanks for the clarification.
From what I have been reading you can get good leak down and compression numbers but still have a bad oil control ring. If you are smoking or burning oil try a new PCV valve seemed to fix my problem.

This is possible but unlikely. It is highly unlikely that your oil control rings would wear very rapidly while your compression rings barely wear at all. In the vast amjority of cases, if your compression rings are good, so are your oil control rings.
