Default Questions about my motor.

Ok i have a USDM gsr motor and the head is getting a valve job right now because i really needed ne valve seals. I am also reringing the pistons so i decided to put some CTR's in there. That is supposed to bump my compression to 12.4 or so correct? Do i need anything besides upgraded fuel, tuning, and such to run that comp. Also i know running premium is a must. I dont need anythging else to run this right? Stock head ok? Thanks.

I'd look into a good ignition.

Well honestly, I'd go with a MSD 6A, cap and Blaster SS coil.
That totals about 400 new.

But, you can always find used stuff. Remeber this too, Ignition systems are used on all cars so you could find a 6A on a Fbody board or HotRod.
Don't just limit yourself to this boards classifieds.

THe cap and coils are the things that arent universal right, but the actual ignition is correct?

You can run CTR's w/ stock head, ignition, etc. Just make sure you tune it right and you'll be fine.
