Default Questions about 63403 crower cams

these are the stage 3 cams for DOHC VTEC motors. . .i was wondering if they were streetable? and if the Valve train does have to be upgraded? the reason, i found a good deal (on H-T of course), but the seller says he was using the set up on portflow inners, and Type R outers (intake springs for both intake and exhaust revving to 9K), he sounds like a reputable seller, but just i want to make sure that it is safe, and worth driving on the street (gas and idle). . .TIA for any input

Yes, they are streetable and yes you will need the upgraded valvetrain. As far as which valvetrain will work best, I couldnt tell you that, but I can tell you that the stock valvetrain wont cut it.

I have had 403's in my gsr for over a year now. I went with a valve spring and retainer package from web cam and have not had any problems with them. The car idles fine with a chipped b16 ecu and my VAFC leaned out 30% at 1000 rpm. I wouldn't recommend using them without aftermarket valvetrain components. God luck.

I'm bringing this one up from the dead. My old screen name was b18c333^^^

The Web Cam valve spring kit took a **** on me. I started hearing a ticking noise from the motor when driving home from work. I wasn't getting on it at all. Took of the valve cover and found two outers and an inner had broken on me.

<---- Check out my avatar. That's a pice of one of them that I found in my block.
