Question on VTECH™
Hello,
I am relatively new to cars and I heard people talking about having VTEC kick in at lower RPM’s. I was thinking about it and I couldn’t figure how it would be better for your car if you have it kick in at lower RPM’s but like I said I am relatively new to cars. I was just wondering if any of you knew the upside of doing this or if it is pointless.
Thanks,
MF_UNIK
Edit: Sorry i screwed the title up...

haha you spelt it right in the post but incase you werent sure, its not vtech.. VTEC..
anyway just wanted to clear that up cause people will be ******** to you just for that error...
basically, you want your vtec to kick in when you stop making power outside of vtec... you non vtec cam lobes can only pull so hard for so long, thats why it switches over to the vtec lobe... people lower it all the time, and it sounds real cool, but people actually lose power doin so... only way to prove wether your gaining or loosing is a dyno... hope this helps
