Default Question on tranny.

are the 2000 si trannys any good... or would you rather go with a GSR tranny. i have all motor setup lsvtec. im runing a hydro cable conversion right now. but its time to go to hydrro. i have a choice between a 2000 si b16 tranny or a GSR
i know the GSR has a little longer gear ratios and i know b16 trannies are better for all motor set up... just thought i would get some input. what do you think would be better

2000 si tranny all the way...there is a world of difference between it and the gsr tranny you speak of. you won't regret it.

You'll run through the gears in an Si tranny a lot quicker than a GSR. I would go with the Si tranny, but if it were possible I'd go for an ITR tranny. LSD. Yummy!

Anybody have 1/4 mile times between a gsr tranny and si tranny? And if you have an SI tranny, do the secondary butterflies stay open on the 1-2 shift?
