Ok i got a GS-R It is still stock except for i gutted the Air Box. The Maitenance Required light is coming on when i first start my car it flash's for about 10 second then goes off. Anybody with experience know what this is?

My theroy is its just a light that comes on every some odd miles and u just have to re-set your ecu!! kinda like the Civic but u can do it by key and integra's (gs-r) u can't do it that way...

I need some help somebody fill me in!!!

 

It comes on after a certain amount of mileage elapses, and isn't based on anything being out of tune. It's just Acura's way of telling you that it's time for you to bring the car to the dealership for the routine service. However, some do this themselves and don't want to have to go to a dealer just to get a light switched off.

There is a small box under the dash with a square blue button. Press and hold the button while the key is in the I (accessory) or II (run) position and hold it until the "MAINT REQD" light shuts off. This should be about two seconds.
