??question on milling head in relation to compression??

i plan on putting my b16a head on a std. bore b18c5 block, and i have been told to mill the head ~ 30 thousands, .0030? what kinda compression would i be looking at? I would like around ~11.5! any suggestions? thanks, eric

well for about every .007", it equals about 1cc. and for every cc. it equals to about .22 of a compression. if you mill off .030" you will gain about 1 full point of a compression over stock
