Question about No. One Cylinder
I've got a CEL code number 9 and I was wondering if this could be a result of bad spark plug wires. I replaced the CYP sensor a year ago come January. Thanks in advance.
No. If you are OBDII, you will get a misfire code with really bad spark plug wires. Code 9 indicates a problem in the distributor or wiring.
Code #9, as you know, is the CYP sensor. It is in the distributor on the D16. The problem is either the sensor itself, which requires distributor replacement, or in the wiring between the ECU and the distributor.
