Question about msd ignition install?

I installed the msd sci on my 95 gsr and when I rev it past 8000 the tach stops working.. It just starts bouncing around.. What the hell would cause this?Any suggestions would be great..

Just the base one says msd sci on it.. Paid 150 for it.. Also have the blaster coil and cap...
