question about Hondata
I have a question about Hondata I hope yo can help. This is confusing the hell out of me so I hope I can get this out correctly.
I currently have a s200 system. It has boost control and data logging and i have not used this yet. I recently got another Hondata which came with Eprom burner and the programming software. Now I am hearing that hondata only sells software for each s200 purchased. Am I gonna have to buy the software again just to be able to program my other s200?? Also I was wondering if it is possible to buy extra eprom chips if for some reason my chip goes bad, or are they a chip that only hondata has??? Also I purchased boost control with one of the systems where is this stored to tell the hondata that I am allowed to have the boost? is it on the actual chip "cause I thought they were blank" or the blue box??
Sorry for so many questions but it is hard to get the answers I need when searching.

Well, if you purchased the software second hand, you may have a problem getting the key to unlock the software. You will have to call them on that and see what they say.

Yes, you can buy another chip, http://www.moates.net has some good prices and great services. I am sure you can find people saving them in the sponsor forum.

If you are asking how hondata knows it has boost or not? The blue box is programed to know. You can add boost and other things by a dealer. Call hondata, the serial number will tell them what it has.
