Default question about hondata

1.What is required for a hondata system to properly work?

2.Do you need a stock ecu + the hondata system for it to work, or does the hondata system replace the stock ecu?

3.Does hondata come with stock program and then you have to tune?

You need a stock ecu socketed, go to hondatas site for the ecu chart (ecu's you can use for your specific car) than you need the actually hondata box.
If you do the s100 its just a chip with a board on it that plugs into the stock ecu, the s200 is a box that sits outside of the ecu and plugs into the ecu.
If you do the new s300 its a board that plugs into the chip socket, kinda like the s100. Hondata or your hondata dealer will provide you with a base map for your car depending on your mods and mainly the injector size. Than you go and get it tuned. This is just a basic and broad explenation of it.
