Question about greddy emanage and what it does??
Ok so here is the situation... a friend of mine has a 1994 civic ex with a d16z6 that is stock, however the car had a z6 with a jackson racing supercharger, has a p28 ecu, the greddy emanage wired in and it has a vafc... now here is the thing, the car starts and runs.. idles a little low ( around 500) i know its supposed to be up around 750. It will be idling and then it will sputter a little, sometimes it will continue to run, but it will just shut off... now the question is, does the emanage have to be removed in order for it to run ok with the stock motor? or will it cause damage by having it hooked up? I think that the emanage should be unwired, and adjust the idle after that is done... I dont have any experience with the emanage, i dont know if it reads boost, i dont knwo if it was set to bigger injectors, I have no idea how it works.. was hoping someone could chime in and let me know if it would be ok to just leave it or if it should be removed in order for it to run ok.. Sorry if this is confusing, thanks in advance!
There's really no reason to have an e-manage and vafc on the car. E-manage is simply an overlyglorifed afc. My advice would be to take both off, sell them, then purchase a Hondata S300. This will give your tuner "real" control over the ecu, as well as, all of the parameters to make the car run well, drive well, and not sputter and die.
well the car has no need for hondata now, it just has a bone stock d16z6 in it, he bought the car prewired with the supercharged engine in it.. it surprised me that the thing even runs since i'm pretty sure the supercharged motor had bigger injectors in it, i figured the emanage would be setup to run with them.. thats why i was asking what it did and how it worked. Can you tell it what size injectors your running like with crome,hondata,etc...?
in the process of doing that now.. i figured thats what i should do, i just wnated another opinion before i started tearing into his wiring harness lol. thanks for the help!

i found the problem you have an emanage biggest pile of ****. no capabilities compared to neptune or s300. had one for a year fried for no reason greddy customer support sucks dick. they say they have one of the best warranty dont specify the warranty period product fails and they arent even interested in trying to help. and the jackson supercharger kit should have came with its own fuel management
good to hear! I was going to suggest the same, but got here too late
the emanage is actually a very good system if you know how to actually use it, and if it is installed properly. most failures of emanage systems are due to poor installs; poor wiring. there are a lot of instances where the emanage is actually the best system to use, like in a jrsc obd2 car that needs to stay obd2 for emissions purposes, or an auto tranny car that needs to stay auto.
and fyi, the standard fuel management system that comes with jrsc kits is absolute garbage. the upgrade from jrsc literally was an emanage system.

correct it is good for auto trans, and smog, but i had failure for no reason they wouldnt even respond to an email. it has its pros and cons, mostly cons when i look at now running neptune. I am one of those people that is obd2 and tried to stay like that. and it cost me 1000$ after about a year, and not even a response. what customer service? my .02
