Default Question about adding coolant, please help

Hey guys i recently got a 2005 rsx type s and didn't see any coolant in the plastic bottle, so i added some but after only adding a little it was overflowing out of the opening. Is it possible that because of the light green colour i just didn't see any in the tank? Any other possibilities? Is this bad?

It is possible you overfilled the reservoir, another possibility is the engine may be overheating or have a blown head gasket or cracked head. Check the reservoir when it is cold, the level should be close to the lower mark or slightly above it. Drive the car until it is at full operating temperature, the level should be close to the upper mark on the reservoir. Sometimes the plastic clouds up or just gets dirty, this makes it harder to see the level. Try using a bright flashlight for backlighting, to check the level. Keep track of the level of reservoir, temp gauge, oil condition, and the amount of vapor out of the tailpipe. If its overfilled, it will make a mess, but shouldn't cause any damage.
