Default Ques. about saturated, peak&hold, etc.

ive searched but i cant really find the answers to my question...maybe i suck at searching

anyways. how does a peak and hold injector work? also vs its counterpart.
same with saturated. whats the difference in injectors and why you need certian types. why do you need a low impedence injector with i believe a saturated injector?

just curious thats all.

The Most common injector found in most factory injections systems is the Hi Impedance or Saturated Injector. This injector works off a 12v signal to pulse the injector. They have a relatively hi electrical resistance ( between 12-16 ohms), which keeps current flow in the driver circuit low and the injectors cool. The downside is that Saturated injectors have a slightly slower response time than the peak&hold injectors. Peak & hold injectors have a low electrical resistance (2-5 ohms) and rely on a quick jolt of hi current to open, followed by a lower current to keep them open for the desire amount of time.
