Quaife LSD.... what fluid???
I have a GSR with a b16 tranny with a quaife LSD and it seems its becoming increasingly harder and harder to get into gear. I have a ITR shifer and a act street strip clutch.
I change out the tranny fluid every oil change with OEM honda MTF because that is what i believed was the correct fuild to use. Now that this problem has started occuring I just wanted to double check that it is the correct fuild to use.
Second, could i possibly use some GM syncromesh/MTF mix to help smoothen up the shifting? Ive used it in the past with no problems i just wanted to make sure it wouldnt damage the LSD before i go dumping it in there....
TIA!

I've used nothing but Honda MTF in my Quaife YS1 for over 4 years with no problems.
I've never had to use it, but GM syncromesh will work with a quaife tranny. It's the clutch/plate style LSD's that require diffrent fluid.

friction modified fluid is supposed to promote smoother shifting. Please explain your statement.
